Fragments" explores the paradox of brokenness and wholeness, while metaphorically reflecting the collapse and reshaping of marine ecosystems. The texture of the piece resembles the eroded structures of marine organisms, as if coral is bleaching, with plastic fragments and sea waves intertwining to form a scene that is both natural and heterogeneous. The visual effects of corrosion, dissolution, and reorganization symbolize how pollution erodes ecosystems, while also hinting at how nature seeks a new balance amidst destruction.
