Gaze explores the power dynamics of looking and the shifting relationship between the observer and the observed. In this work, the mirrored elements not only reflect the viewer’s gaze but also place them in the position of being watched, turning the act of looking into an exposed experience. The red, organic forms suggest corporeality, yet their abstraction blurs concrete recognition, making the act of looking uncertain and unsettling. As viewers gaze upon the work, are they aware that they, too, become the object of scrutiny? This cyclical viewing relationship reveals how power operates within the act of looking.
